Jeddah Carrell , Head Teacher

Hello everyone!  My name is Jeddah and I am thrilled for the opportunity to be teaching Kindergarten at C Street this year and be a part of your child's learning experiences!  There is no greater blessing and responsibility than being an educator, example, and influence in a young child's life.

I have worked in childcare/preschool for 10+ years.  I am from Albuquerque, New Mexico and lived there most of my life until moving to the Salt Lake area 4 years ago.  I am second of five kids; as a teenager I volunteered at a younger siblings summer camp preschool program and fell in love with working with young children.  I have worked as a preschool teacher and an after school teacher through some of my college years; my favorite age to work with has always been four and five year olds!  I took some time off from teaching and school to travel and participate in student exchanges.  I have student exchanged in Stolzenau, Germany and Chihuahua City, Mexico.  I later returned to Germany as a chaperone and youth leader.  I love traveling and experiencing new and different cultures.  I try to visit a new place every year and hope to share my enthusiasm of the world with your children through the course of the year in our lessons.  I also plan to incorporate my love for music and dance and the spanish language!

I am currently working towards my degree in Early Childhood Education with the ultimate goal teaching Kindergarten in a blingual setting.  Some of my hobbies include listening to Broadway musicals, doing crossword puzzles, being with my friends, and laughing!
