Louise Tunzi, Head Teacher
AM Staffing Coordinator
My name is Miss Louise, and I am the head teacher in the infant room. I have been working at C Street since December of 1992. I have been working with the infant program the entire time!
Babies and toddlers are my favorite age because it’s fun to see how ambitious they are about exploring their world. All of these years spent with babies has taught me a lot about them and their needs. We have learned how to meet the babies individual needs before they even realize they want or need anything!
I also have six children of my own that I raised, so I think that I have a pretty good idea of how to care for infants?!?
There are a lot of components that make a high quality infant program. I think that the three most important components are: a good relationship with the parents, a caring and loving environment for the children, and, of course, safety in the classroom.
Several of the teachers, including me, have taken many different training courses to receive our Child Development Accreditation. You’ll be glad to know that we received it!
I look forward to establishing a good relationship with you. Please feel free to express any comments or concerns that you might have.
Cortney Brown, Co-Head Teacher
Hi! My name is Cortney Brown and I am a Head Infant Teacher here at C Street! Since I was little, I have known what I wanted to be in the future; that was to become a teacher of children! I have babysat many children in the past 10+ years (in fact, I still do and love it!). While I was in high school, I was a teacher in the preschool program that we had there and enjoyed every moment. I have recently graduated with my Associates Degree in Education and I plan on continuing my education to become a teacher, either at the elementary level or in early childhood!
I absolutely LOVE children! They have so many qualities that I believe we can all benefit from and even obtain for ourselves. Children are so fun, they are full of energy, and they have that unique ability to enjoy the simple things in life! Children have so much to offer the world and they have so much potential. I am so excited to get to know all of the children here at C Street and see them reach that potential!!
